RIP 9/11 bros

We’ve got human beings using human beings for a bomb out here, guys.

So much greatness in the comments box for this video as well, being as it combines BLACK PEOPLE DOING MUSIC with AMERICAN POLITICS, two topics which aren’t so much dog whistles for internet nutbags but rather three-minute warning sirens. “wandertheroad” comes hard with “back when MTV was about the music” for a video made in 2001 and celebrating those glory deals of Real Music By Real Musicians like Nelly, but the gay Pinoy who says “I like the backstreet, their mix of beats and rhythms were stunning” is pretty good as well.

Was gonna ignore JRomeZeta’s claim that “This was an epic gathering of musical artists for a great cause. There was tons of star power in the recording studio. This just might be THE song of this past decade.” but then I clicked through to her account and it just appeared to be Dragonball Z clips, so she might not have been being ironic.

Do you remember late 90s charity concert “NetAid”, featuring Catatonia and some other people?

Is Ja Rule’s verse on this as good as Dizzee’s on “Do They Know It’s Christmas 20”?

Have charity singles been superseded by “let’s get this major label band to #1 to annoy Simon Cowell” campaigns?

When was the last time you made a 9/11 gag?

I really hope there is some sort of afterlife so the peeps who perished horribly that day will know they didn’t die in vain because the internet got the Hulk Hogan Was Responsible For 9/11 photoshop out of it.
