It ain’t a hit until Nate Dogg spits

If you’ve looked at any rap blogs in the past week you’ll be on this already, but for my indie brethren and those of you waving your tardy slips about, DJ Steve1der’s “Nate In 08 – The Best of Nate Dogg” mix is probably the single best thing I’ve heard this year, and not just because it offers you the opportunity to use “hold up…… heyyyyyyyyyy” as a default response when anyone asks anything of you at work again. ND is pretty ill right now, because apparently smoking a lot of weed and being morbidly obese is bad for you. Who’d have guessed. Anyway, there are few artistes I could sit through hours of material by and Nate’s one of them. DL this now. YSI link and tracklisting after the cut.

I’ll be honest- I’ve completely forgot the overwhelming smokiness Nate puts on a song. Got me thinking what a song of his would sound like if screwed and chopped. Probably induce insanity and transport to timeless limbo

Just a heads up, “Many Men” does not and has never featured Nate Dogg. 50 does the hook in that song.
