Is “rapper threw a plastic bottle at some other rappers” really what passes for Twittersphere rap watercooler chatter in 2011? Jesus Wept. Danny Brown says he doesn’t throw plastic bottles, and if you can’t believe a man who looks like someone trying to get their life back on track after three years of heroin addiction by interning at Toni and Guy who can you trust?
Such a good song though, Danny Brown’s main ability in rap has always been knowing exactly how much wacky he can throw on a track without coming across as annoying or a novelty. “They have no clue like toy stores without board games/But when I paint pictures I’m dipping brushes in war paint.” “Love a feminist bitch, oh they get my dick hard.”
Also Brown has the best enunciation of “nigga” of any rapper since Biggie, and that’s an important thing imho.

I love how the infamous hair pic was the “yo, is this guy a fruit?” tipping point for most rap dude when months earlier he was rockin’ them Bianca from Eastenders zebra-print jeans in the Re-Up video.
